Northside Hospital’s Movies in the Park™ returns to the Cumming / Forsyth County area for a 7th season of free outdoor movies. The popular family outdoor movie tour makes a stop at the Cumming Fairgrounds to show 2 blockbuster films in the open air arena on July 21 and August 10, 2013.

This year the Movies in the Park™ series picked location that would provide a unique and extraordinary outdoor movie experience. For the Cumming outdoor movie series, a giant inflatable movie screen will be setup in the Cumming Fairgrounds arena. The covered arean will provide an open air movie experience which can be held both rain or shine.

“We are happy to be returning to our hometown of Cumming, GA to bring great affordable family-friendly events” says Murray, of Southern Outdoor Cinema. “We invite the Forsyth County community to come out with friends and family, lay out a blanket, share a picnic, sit back and listen to music playing in the background as the sun sets over the the fairgrounds. Then enjoy an outstanding show under the stars as the smell of freshly popped popcorn wafts through the air.”

The Dreamworks blockbuster film “The Croods” will be shown on July 21st. The Croods tells the story of the world’s first family road trip. When their cave is destroyed, the Crood family must embark on a comedy adventure into strange and spectacular territory in search of a new home. As if patriarch Grug didn’t already have enough to handle, it goes from bad to worse when they encounter an imaginative nomad named Guy. With Guy’s help the Croods conquer their fear of the outside world and discover that they have exactly what it takes to survive – each other

Movies in the Park - Cumming

Moviegoers are encouraged to bring families, friends, a blanket or lawn chair and bug spray. The gates will open one hour before film showings and movies will start at sundown. The events are free and open to the public. Pets and alcohol are not permitted. Prior to the movie, families can check out the Quarter Midget Races or have receive free painting by FancyFace4U.com

The series will continue on August 10th at the Cumming Fairgrounds.
